How the drill-hole analysis works, step by step

This app measures the drill-hole width in a tomography image. You upload the clean TIFF file, and optionally include metadata for accurate millimeter measurements. The app automatically analyzes the image and returns a CSV plus an interactive overlay for checking results.

When metadata is provided, measurements are automatically scaled to millimeters for precise analysis.

Ta aplikacja mierzy szerokosc otworu na obrazie tomograficznym. Wgrywasz czysty plik TIFF oraz opcjonalnie metadane dla dokladnych pomiarow w milimetrach. Aplikacja automatycznie analizuje obraz i zwraca CSV oraz interaktywny podglad z naniesionymi pomiarami.

Gdy metadane sa dostarczone, pomiary sa automatycznie skalowane do milimetrów dla precyzyjnej analizy.

Step-by-step / Krok po kroku

  1. Prepare the TIFFs. Use the negative image without legend: *_negatyw_otworu_bez_legendy.tif, and the matching legend TIFF: *_negatyw_otworu.tif.
  2. Upload files. Choose your tomography TIFF file and optionally include metadata for accurate scaling.
  3. Review results. Check the overlay viewer to confirm the red lines align with the hole edges. Note the scale source and slice offset in the summary.
  4. Export data. Copy or download the CSV and store it with the sample.
  5. Repeat for the next sample.
  1. Przygotuj TIFF-y. Uzyj negatywu bez legendy: *_negatyw_otworu_bez_legendy.tif oraz pasujacego pliku z legenda: *_negatyw_otworu.tif.
  2. Wgraj pliki. Wybierz plik TIFF tomograficzny oraz opcjonalnie metadane dla dokladnego skalowania.
  3. Sprawdz wyniki. W podgladzie linie powinny pokrywac krawedzie otworu. Zwroc uwage na zrodlo skali i przesuniecie plastra w podsumowaniu.
  4. Eksportuj dane. Skopiuj lub pobierz CSV i zachowaj go przy probce.
  5. Powtorz dla kolejnej probki.

Warnings & tips / Ostrzezenia i wskazowki

  • Only *_negatyw_otworu_bez_legendy.tif files are accepted.
  • Include metadata (*_metadane.txt) for accurate millimeter measurements.
  • Large files take longer. Wait for the analysis to finish before refreshing.
  • If measurements seem inaccurate, check that your metadata file contains valid voxel size information.
  • Akceptowane sa tylko pliki *_negatyw_otworu_bez_legendy.tif.
  • Dolacz metadane (*_metadane.txt) dla dokladnych pomiarow w milimetrach.
  • Duze pliki analizuja sie dluzej. Poczekaj na zakonczenie.
  • Jesli pomiary wydaja sie niedokladne, sprawdz czy plik metadanych zawiera prawidlowe informacje o rozmiarze woksela.
